I installed BitNami SAMP stack and Joomla on Solaris SXCE b76 (I know it’s old) but wonder if there could be an option for BitNami-Joomla (and other packages) to make use of the already existing AMP stack that is in (Open)Solaris? |

Hi, We are currently working to improve the BitNami modules but this feature is not planned yet. We would like to support existing AMP in the future. Just a question, why do you want to use an existing AMP Stack instead of the BitNami SAMPStack? |

Well, not that I don’t trust the BitNami SAMP stack, but the built in is already there and supported by Sun (and MySQL is owned by Sun). Also the Sun stack make use of the new SMF facilities on Solaris which makes it even more reliable. But this is no big deal. I’m a happy user. Again thanks for great work. |
